The Criminal Justice System

There are three main part to the criminal justice system: law enforcement, courts, and corrections, these agencies work in concert to maintain the rules of law within the society.
Law Enforcement

Courts
The next step in the process is the courts, this usually starts with a first appearance where a suspect is taken in front of a magistrate he/she will tell them the charges that come been brought against them, and again advise them of their rights, and in some cases provide them the prospect for bail. Depending on the nature of the crime some are released on their own recognizance, others need to post bond, and in extreme cases no bail will be given. If the suspect does not have a lawyer this is where one will be found for them.
