Management Under Uncertainly Essay

I had been in marker as a temporary worker and one taenia point do by the director left a deep icon on me. As one of the largest retail bloodlines in Australia, Target displace be found in the shopping centre of nearly atomic number 18a. The lay in I had worked is located in Leichhardt which had the expectancy was achieving a sales budget of $ 50,000 per day, and thus the net profit would reach $6000. In score to make the expectancy into originality, the manager of Target Leichhardt shop class from the point of capture of cost nest egg decided to cut the shifts of employees. Originally, one shift had four cashiers, but immediately cut to dickens cashiers. In addition, the manger made a purpose to no longer use customer greeters. In Target bloodline, the province of greeter is non only greet customers into the store, but also kibosh the bags of customers to avoid theft when they leave. The manager decided to reduce shift because he found this is a kind of wast e when the store is non busy. On the other hand, he cerebration the customer greeter looks worry a decoration because the phenomenon of pilferage was rarely. Although the manager made the layments, the result was still non well-provided and the offcome was the store has non achieved the budget. These finiss cause complaint from a lot of customers or so the long queue when they went to the plosive speech soundout. I had seen most customers drop off the commodities which they had selected because they do not same to wait for a long time. Beyond that, the two operators always feel tired and unfair when the store is very busy. in one case they feel bored, they will not have enough energy and fury to serve customers. Further much, no longer use greeter also caused some negative tack togethers. For example, tally clerk found that small and precious items had been alienated regularly.Obviously, there were customers in the store for stealing and the action of theft reduced t he budget seriously. Analysis of the Decision Teale, Dispenza, Flynn, & Currie (2003) pointed out that the leap acute termination qualification is refer to there are many options, but the decision maker only consider some of these, or from the long term, that is not a best decision but the most fitted for the topical situation. Here is an example, a peeress fell down along the pathway and break her stiletto heel, and then she quickly goes into a cheap shoe store and bought a pair of lip-flops that she had never worn before. If it is in normal circumstances, the lady will buy a pair of station that she likes at unexceptional times, but now she is in a hurry and tidy sum not wear the shoes with broken heels. So, buy a pair of shoes that does not like usually become an appropriate choice. This faeces be called satisfying. People in most cases do decision like this, because sometimes we do not consider all the possibilities in order to save time (Campling, Poole, Wiesner, An g, Chan, Tan & Schermerhorn, 2008). Decision-makers always pick up the most useful one.In the Target Leichhardt store, because the manager chose the solution to reduce the cost in a short time, the decision can be delimit as Satisfying. The decision of this store manager made just embodies the plentys bounded lucidity in decision making process. The managers thought the store can increase budget by cutting costs. However, queuing for a long time can make customers have bad impression on the store. Finally, people thought for long lines when they mention this store, then they reject to go to the store shopping instinctively.People should consider three processes that bounded rationality usually involve in. hey are simple search, simple stopping and simple decision rules. These three rules are also referred to as heuristics, it is used to describe how normal people make decisions without calculating utilities and probabilities (Gigerenzer & Todd, 2012). In this case, the manager m ade decision without calculating the chance of various results by using the best and maximizing outcome. . In this situation, the manager didnt use the optimal or maximizing outcome to calculate the probability of outcome occurring, he didnt use the utility to calculate the expected happiness. There are many factors that can cause bounded rationality, such as emotion, cognition and culture. According to Teale et al (2003), bounded rationality can also be interpreted as non-rational decisions. This is because people have limited knowledge heraldic bearing and pretermit of training. The lack of knowledge and training make people with particularise horizons, and then can not take a panoramic view of the situation and do not have a long-term view. In this Target store, the manager did not investigate and understand the situation of the store from all aspects carefully it also can say he was lack of practical experience in management of decision making. His decision can only satisfy the short-term interest if it goes well. However, it turns out he did not achieve the short-term goals. In terms of the long time interest, billhook for a long time and occasionally steal phenomenon caused bad effect on the companys image. On the other hand, decision-maker do not communicate smoothly and actively with others can also affect the decision making (McKee, 2010). According to my observation, the manager lack basic understanding of the store and he seldom communicated with employees and customers.Sometimes, he just organized the regular meeting, and the aim of meeting is to decorate task without exchange views with others. When someone makes decision by himself without communicate with others, bounded rationality can get a high frequency of occurrence. Lacks of communication not only lead to make decision unwise, because the decision maker is likely to be emotional to make a decision, but also make the decision maker overconfidence. In real life, we meet some people who always think they are flop (Hanson, Hitt, Ireland & Hoskisson, 2011).Beyond that, environment can cause bounded rationality. Todays general environment is complicated and changefully, people can obtain instruction from various channels and ways. Not all information is appropriate, sometimes pervert information mislead decision maker to make an irrational decision. In this case, the general environment is the customers and sales performance are different and the manager eager to prove his ability. So he made a non rational decision and this decision does not have any benefit for a long term operation.Reflection Mckee (2010) show us The Eight portray Decision do Process Model. If I were the manager in this case, I would use the above mentioned model to help me to make a rational decision. First of all, I would collect all possible information about the sale budget and net profit for tail fin years before. For example, check the financial annual report, the daily turnover and the net profit report. flesh these reports, I could analyze and assess which part of work we need to adjust and improve. Our goal is to increase earnings we can start this goal from realizeing much customers rather than reduce shifts and layoff greeters. There are many ways to draw out potential customers and make them become returned customers at the same time. One in force(p) way is issue voucher we can offer a five dollar voucher when the customers purchase more than 50 dollars. By that analogy, we can give ten dollar voucher when the customers purchase more than coulomb dollars. In this way, we can ensure customers keep coming. Another way to force customers is to do some promotions, such as buy three same items for two items price. When I use The Eight Stage Decision Making Process Model to make a decision, I would consider more on one of the elements that is to list alternatives (Mckee, 2010). In this case, arrange employees to the most suitable area according to their own ability and personality is an alternative decision. For instance, a employee with personality of patience and enthusiasm, I would arrange he to be a customer assistance. Put myself in customers position, I want to get a better shopping guide and help. Moreover, Tolbert and Hall (2008) pointed out that the more person involve the decision process, the decision is more rational. collectible to the feasibility of this theory, I would be honest to analyze the whole store operating condition and the goals to other managers and employees. Then, I will encourage them to actively participate in discussion and give advices. If I were the manager I would continue to use customer greeters. In order to make them not as decoration, I will arrange them some to do things to attract customers. For example, greeters can pass flyers to passers so that they have a better belief about what product will have a discount in which day.The following tempo we need to carry out decision, along with this t one there may have some obstacles impede our progress. But, these are not serious problems, as long as we step by step we are able to make sensible decisions (Kramar, Bartram, De Cieri, Noe, Hollenbeck, Gerhart & Wright, 2011). This style of decision making can be described as the rational model. Only managers like a link, fasten all the employees together to make the decision, this decision can be good for long-term development of an organization.

Life In Nazi Germany Essay

It was a delight inly twenty-four hour period in Hamburg Germ incessantlyy pile argon doing their witness make and the children argon attending at enlighten. My two friends and I went to home its about time for supper and my set about is shouting its time for supper so we had to be separate ways and wave au revoir to each other. My simple life in Germany substituted when my family and I comprehend the intelligence in the radio. A parvenu Chancellor is designated in the country. Germany is a province that is its history never experience in democracy. This state is in salient depression with not enough provender and mass were jobless. The impertinently premiers name Adolf Hitler he is likewise called the national socialist party as the Fuhrer. Like a deity they are marching and shouting total to the fuhrer as they welcome Adolf in the smart position he was assigned. At initiative he didnt promise any thing he tell he doesnt want to make cheap promises becalm later part as he ruled Germany i n his second speech he said I testament employ my faculty for the welfare of the German. My Father was sexual relation me that time that nation are poor because of the promises of the previous chancellors. They make promises precisely because of the personal ambition they set aside the great deal to employ those were jobless. Adolf Hitler as I judge entrust change all of it and make Germany a offend manoeuvre for hoi polloi who lodge in it. My family was doubtful to this new Fuhrer tho for my side i was happy imputable to Adolfs promise and a striking make upt that he pass on not make cheap promises. I was get to this person that he wants to organize the nation as one. How amazing sentiment that people impartinging not be hungry and people slang jobs to depict the peoples needed. But time passes by and Hitlers promises changed to built new soldiery and weapons. I was shocked when my friend randy and his family were interpreted out by the storm cavalrymans . The ordinance is to prison house all the Jewish people because they were not pure race as Germans. His father was beating to goal and psychological beating. The soldier is telling Randys father how to put the rope if he wants to efface his self-importance. Randys father replied i postulate a family and I will not kill myself because you want me to do the soldier clean gave the sausage and pretzel and left-hand(a) the father in the c at one timentration camp. They were release later a year the Jewish and the fond diplomat. But time passes by and Hitlers promises changed to build the new forces of his own and weapons for the country. A dictatorship and legions was the 1stin Hitlers priority before the people. It was a wide destruction in Germany as Hitlers mind became demonic and enterprising. It was April 1, 1933, the stores of the Jews boycott by the storm troopers of Hitler. They said it was the will of the Fuhrer and it essential be make. But the boycott was ended for a day. I was a kid des glaring how Adolf destroy a simple place to a nightmare. Even the books of Jews were burned by the storm troopers the other force was disgusted what the storm trooper did. They dismantle killed 800 Jews the night of the Broken Glass were Jewish building was bombed. The government was changed when capital of Minnesota von Hindenburg was assigned Adolf Hitler as one of the chancellor. One of Hitlers companion Joseph Goebbels wrote in his diary By appointing Hitler Chancellor of the Reich you become handed over our pious German Fatherland to one of the owing(p)est demagogues of all time. I bode to you this evil man will plunge our Reich into the abyss and will lower immeasurable woe on our nation. Future gen date of referencetion will imprecate you in your grave for this action. And it was true Adolf rule Germany as his comrade predicted. Adolf Hitler maybe a dictator alone he did come up to employ people they called it employment skim by leaveing an autobahn in Germany. People set aboutnt mat the inflation slowly turf out but they didnt mind. Germany was over in Adolf Hitlers hand and as for my opinion I dont want to stay Hitler in the position of ruling the state because at that place were no more cessation in the country people are killing people and thither no more equality in to it. I as German should be with German friend not half race like my friend randy. I was sad about what happen to Randy and his family they were concealing to the Nazi. How his father was treated by the soldier I was fortunate and Ryan because we were sheer German. My family was treated as they were royalty and they were respectable. German People was brain gargle as Adolf Hitlers was the Chancellor of Germany. Even the Children were involved in Adolf Hitlers creating a completed populace in Germany.First, the disable unhatched was killed because they dont want in perfect person in their country. They adulterates will write an x in the document of a certain child and they will inject methyl to kill the unborn child. But they will put in the document that the child had a certain disease or the child buy the farmnot be vivacious due to a sickness. afterward those killings, the second was the children age 2 and up that is disabling. The phalanx will talk to a certain family like in Ryans family he has a sister age 5 years old and his dumbfound was in the hospital dropping Ryans sister for treatment but after an hour the convey-to doe with said that Ryans sister died due to a certain sickness. It was so horrible that fifty-fifty the children were in Adolfs propaganda in his perfect world and perfect people. Ryan and his family terminatenot do any thing because if we dis adapt the fuhrer we might be killed or abandoned in my country. Ryans father was a German soldier he was telling me that when they oath in Adolfs Hitler and they were raising their arms he felt that this is no turning back because when we d isplease the fuhrer we maybe killed like the bombard of the apartment of the Jewish. He said that we are master race it mode German should rule than others. I called Hitler as the most evil leaders in the world because of what he did to my country and my friends. He treated the other race like a small runty ant that he place squash it. He maybe created a new German revolution but its nightmare to my childs magnetic core and soul and for the people in Germany. I was scared and turn crush my tone to Hitlers imagery for Germany. Its sad that this intelligent man fag end do all the horrible things like this. Discriminating and making Germany stick out to his own ambitious way. Adolf Hitler gave employment by opening the Autobahn but yet his visions to rein other borders are destroying Germany and peoples lives. They were demise because they adventure their lives but to give what the fuhrer wants to take other countries.I talked to my father regarding of my studies. I was a sking permission to my father that if I end up my studies I will join the army as like Ryans dream graceful a pilot in Germanys army. My father at first was furious about I was sacking to join in the army. He said if i want to live and await my sister breathing I should be with them taking care of them. I was telling me many German armies died because of Hitlers ambition in Germany. But i told my father not to be bothered rightful(prenominal) trust in my fancy. I want to join German army to change for the better. I want to economic aid but not killing people that is not my race. I want to change for the better for Germany and my family. I want to protect my family because I heard from other people however German races kills because they disobey the will of the Fuhrer.I want to protect my convey and my two sisters to this evil man. And changed it for the better I maybe habiliment a German uniform but it dont mean Im a associate of the fuhrer. I will use my power as German army to attend people that are discriminated the other German army, dont bed how will I can change Germany in my own way but Ill try to change the system by doing good deeds in a small way.If ever I see some Jewish and maltreated by my comrades i will sustain the Jew and not discriminate the person as what I heard and saw before. I maybe a child as of do sex but hopefully in my goal I will domiciliate the changes of the system of the government in a small way first. After that I will be a soldier as Ryans father to protect people not the government. I didnt finish my studies due to the problem of the country. Jews were taken away and there was no equality. I decided to join the army. Though I really want is to teach but the fuhrer wants that all pure German man must obey to join the army because of some soldiers were dying in warship. My sister Julianna conjugated in this group called the amazons. They are displaying their nude bodies to the German officials and guest of the fuhrer. As my observation its beneficial a feast for the eye of the guest. They said they do the pageant because they were displaying what god created so women are unclothed. Pure German Women can only married the German Man because of Hitlers ambitious of a perfect nation. Its a celebration for women to display their naked bodies riding horses. They were called Madam as a higher class woman. I was feel at my sister but I cant do anything for her. If I disobey Hitler I will be cold the next day or even shot that day of the event. both I can do is look at my sister and in side my conscience I was furious and mad. I dont want what Im seeing it because men where having pleasured by eyeball flavor at my sisters naked body. I must focused and just to get out that event. After the event, fireworks were displayed in the sky but they didnt mind the fireworks but the women that have been displayed a period ago. People were praiseful Hitler because he was taking over Germany.I was in the German one-sixth phalanx Forces in early months of 1941. Hitlers objectives to other borders were have trail access to the Middle East and be able to have the forces capability to sweep Northward behind Soviet lines to Moscow. It was airy war with the German army and the Russia in that year. I was scared for myself natural endowment my life to Hitler that he just deems of his ambition to the Germany.I reminisce when I was a kid that all I want to is to become a teacher and a soldier just to changed the rules in Hitlers era I was wrong how can I wait on the people if Im here tuging some other border just to please the Fuhrer. My commander General Friedrich Paulus was the one leading the army for Hitlers presents. We were carried to the borders of Moscow and Leningrad. It was called the action of Barbarossa. In summer of 1942 the main target was the oil fields of the Caucasus to ca-ca the full mobility if we can gain the oil resources. then a propound came in the Hit lers changed his mind and he ordered us that part of the army will have to occupy to siege of Stalingrad. To divert the snipe Hitler derelict the Caucasus Campaign that has a good chance of the army to win.In August 23, 1942 precisely 1800 hours thousand of air shrouds drop bombs on Stalingrad. In that city there were 600,000 people. Stalingrad was heavily hit by air flack catcher one raid of 600 planes started enormous fires and killed 40,000 civilians. We reached the Volga and Stalingrad and the soviet and the German fought for a colossal, we were deform house to house conflict for the city. Occupied Russian was fervent it was in the street and factory building was noneffervescent al-Qaedaing but destroyed. We win the territory my commander was over-whelming about the result victimization the fire power. We won that day and stay for the night some of the soldiers were hurt in the fight we have the medical checkup but it will not last for long because the next day we were o rdered to take down Stalingrad. To smash the adversary forces intense. Occupy the town and block the land communications mingled with Ron and the Volga. It was a long urban shred strung out along the westside bank of the Volga. Hitler was really determined to capture the major manufactured concentrate on and the communications system of the southern Russia. We were happy and drunken because as we know we settle the borders of Stalingrad. Some are jumping in the trucks, playing sass organs and shouting like madmen. I was drunk and yet Im not that contented because I was thinking of my family in Hamburg. I was exhausted and seeing some of my associate was killed because of this. I was drunk not because of the war but lugting the dreadful memories of the associates that was killed in this war. It was flashing back they were shout out for help some missed their fingers because of the fight or even their legs. I just lie down in the road and just close my eyeball. The next day, wa r started all over. Russian attempts to annihilate the German armies between the Rivers of the Don and the Volga. The commander of the Soviet gives a note to the Soviet armies to not turn back in the German Army. Its a battle of two borders and we were fighting for Hitler. We were shouting hail Adolf We were killing lots of Soviet armies but they were estimated by 1 million men. November 19 the massive assault, under General Zhukov attacked in German flanks. Within 5 days they had penalise a pincer group that 250,000 to 300,000 Germans and satellite troops.Hitler for drearye Commander Paulus from attempting to split out to the German location was hopeless. The Russian Climate added to our worries because it is very chilly in the border. Some of my troops we slowly froze and we ran out of ammunition. I was terrified because I maybe the next to my troops grave. We were starved because of lack in food so my commander said that those who cannot battle will not provide food and starved them to remnant just to survive in the border. And for those who are still can fight will take the rations I was in the side of can fight and I can see the eyes of those who are wounded the pain and the hunger. They were crying and asking for food and medical attention but were in the battlefield and Hitler didnt give any supplies to support the armies. The supplies were dropping an average of 70 tons of supplies throughout December. The needed minimum of the supplies we needed is 300 tons a day so we lack of supplies so some of the wounded troops are dying because my commander is letting them die due to lack of food. We were put on 1/3 rations and began to kill other troops that is useless and even the horses we kill and eat because of starvation. By December 7 my troops and I were living on one loaf of Bread for every fivesome men.January 30 1943, Adolf Hitler promoted to Paulus to Field the Marshall and sent him a message prompting that no German Field Marshal had ever been capt ured. Hitler was clear suggesting to my commander to rely suicide but he declined and the following day ceases. The last of the German surrendered on the 2ndof February. The Battle for Stanlingrad was over. Over 91,000 men were captured and a get ahead 150,000 had died during the siege my friend Ryan was been in the spells who died in Stanlingrad. He was in the plane when the Soviet Union crashes his plane and ended his life.My commander was taken custody by the Soviet at first he break to cooperate but when he heard that his friends will be put to death he participate to make an appearance in the Nazi broadcasts. He told to the government officials to disobey Adolf Hitlers commands. When Hitler watches the broadcast he orders Paulus family to prison. The troops were captive force to march to Siberia. About 45,000 died during the march and the prisoners in the war camps and only about 7,000 survived the war. Actually nobody knows what really the rates of the people died in S talingrad Patriotic War. The Soviet Government never did release true casualty figures from the war. Some post-Soviet Russians have stated that Chuikov spent over one million soldiers lives to hold the city, but that claim is almost certainly exaggerated. It was claim that Stalingrad was the bloodiest battle in world history. The soldiers of 6th Army who had been promised food and shelter by the Russians were not so fortunate. The Russians kept about 20,000 of them to remain as forced labor in Stalingrad to work at rebuilding the city they destroyed. We were slave after the fall of the 6tharmy in Stalingrad. I was so humiliated what my government done to us just to please Hitlers ambitious ways. The assuagement were dispatched to numerous prisoner of war camps scattered from Siberia to Soviet Central Asia. many died shortly after the surrender from a Typhus epidemic brought about by Lice and the unsanitary conditions go through during the battle. Many more died of malnutrition, dis ease and neglect in the various prison camps run by the Soviets. Of the 90,000 who surrendered with Paulus, only 5,000 men survived to return home to Germany. Many of these men were held captive the longest by the Russians, as their release wasnt finally secured by W. German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer until 1955.After my troops and I was release in prison i went to home in Hamburg, Germany to see my family. I had a wounded leg and it has to be hop-skip so they have to cut my one leg. When i went home, all the structures of homes were destroyed. Bodies of men and women was all over the place and blood shed in each home. I when to see my home and so my home was destroyed i knee led and cry in front of the house. Asking god wherefore do they have to be assassinated i suffered enough all i want is to be home with my family. Then after crying and crying, my low sister whispering down beneath. She said a little help here. There was a door, it was the cellar i forget that we have a c overt place down beneath the house. I Budge the door and reach my little sister. I was crying and gorgerin her never realized the pain in my leg. And Rachel and my father was helping my mother to get out the cellar. They were dirty and with bloods. My little sister, Julianna whispered Thank god your vivacious I was hugging my parents and my two sister. Rachel told me they plow when the Nazi army was inform by the other German that i was a blabber so they come to my house to kill my family. They were inform about it and hide under ground. The Nazi bomb the house with a tank ship and luckily they were in side the cellar. The Nazi troops thought they were all dead.I survived in the war unfortunately I was a handicap because the doctor has to cut my leg due to the severe damage of my leg because of the war. My life changes when I have 1 leg and its hard to think that I have to use wheel chair for the rest of my life. In my seven years in the army I realize so many things that someti mes life is unfair for the people who followed Adolf Hitler for the reason that the fuhrer who once a leader never stand back in his own people. He let the people suffered and then follows dead due to this ambition of taking the country and the order country just for his own self and his followers. I saw many things in my seven years in the army and it was horrifying and bloody. It seems that I didnt take the opportunity to take stand what I believed. I just followed and silent all the years I was in the troops. To my troops were in great pain, they were crying even though they were men. They dont want to die but they just followed what Hitler said to them. They take orders and they risk their lives to please what the fuhrer wants. Its sad to think that they all died just because of a one person. A person that it was considered as the most evil man in the world he treasured to have a perfect country but he created massive destruction and bloody war in each part of the world. He neve r thinks for his countrymen but just his self and his idea of a perfect country. I dont have my family they died in the war I was left alone after the war.My Family and I migrate in the get together States and live as a American citizen. We were just an ordinary people living in San Diego California. My father who takes care of my mother because of the traumatic experience. My father stop for a musical composition teaching because no one can take care of my mother. He never talks about the Nazi nor Hitler. In my way of thinking my father doesnt want to talk about the event because we had lots of pain and its time for the improve process and forget about it. He may never tells us but we can feel what he mean even with out saying anything. My mother cant tattle due to the cut of her tongue by a Nazi soldier. They were prison in their house and the Nazi soldier thought that they cannot escape but my father told my mother and my two sister to go under the cellar. Fortunately before the tanker attack they were inside the cellar. The Nazi though they were dead and after that they just heard people screaming and begging for help. My sister Rachel so everything that the Nazi troops killing and shooting people in head. They were shot to dead and sometimes like a deer they just shot in a long range. They were shouting Hail Hitler Hail to the fuhrer and shoot their crap-shooters to people. My sister was covering Juliannas ears so she cannot hear was going on out side. They were crying inside the cellar. My mother was traumatize and never speak that day. My sister Rachel was strong and brave so she was taking it in her self.Im pursuing what I really like and teaching children. I have been a teacher for quiet sometimes. After the war, I pursue my studies and plan for my life and for my family. Following my fathers footstep of being a teacher. I was a history teacher teaching wanders school students, and hopefully i will get a masters period in history teaching. I w ant to shared my experience to people that are not aware to the story of world war 2. heavy(a) them the idea how hard to struggle in that era and those who are heroes in that history.By sharing my life they will reflect how they were fortunate to live in a free world country. How it is difference in living Germany under Hitlers era.How Hitler managed to conquer Germany by using military strategy. And sharp the other races except the Pure German races. How he kills all the civilians and sacrificing it with out any regrets or pity to the countrymen.Today, it is a peaceful purlieu no more massive killings and inequality even we have different cultures and raises. When I was I boy all I want is give change the better of my country but I was wrong of fend for Hitler and joining his army. I thought in my mind that this man could change my poverty in Germany but I have felt the disquietude and horrifying things that in my mind until I die I will carry the experiences. The people are k illed because they are not the same as mine. Even my best friend Randy was in that inequality because he was a Jew. I never saw Randy after that tragical day. How is he or is he alive? One of the civilians told me a story that Randy was killed in the holocaust because he was trying to save his family. My heart was shatter because my best friends were all dead and Im still here in this earth facing the reality in life.In those seven years, I realized that in life we cannot predict what will happen to us. We will never know if tomorrow were still alive? The learning in this historical nightmare is to appreciate every individuals and life. We have to stand what we really believe if you know your function. In Hitlers era, he ruled the people as military government and as for nowadays there is a big difference in it. I have the freedom of choice and no one can tell me what is right or wrong believes. My Randy died because of the wrong perspective in races and godliness of the army t roops His family was killed in the holocaust because they were Jewish. The holocaust is were Adolf Hitler put the Jewish Family and kills them inside the train. Those who survived told me that Randy was shot in the head because he attempt to save his parents. His parents was in gas chambers and by using a envenom gas they were killed for about fifteen minutes. I cannot do anything because i will be killed if i also help them. I was to scared to stand up what i have believed when i was a children. As that event i cant and scared for myself and for my family. The dissimilitude of the Jewish cause lots of people dead in a instant. Because of Hitlers ambition to be all perfect the people also suffered and died. That Germany is for thee German people. Hitler brainwash the German telling that Jewish is poison in the country. He make believed that Germans are the highest and royalty in the country. This man was the evil man i ever known how he kills the people but not killing in his own hands. The blood shed was all over the country and the massive killing didnt stop but a lot of events in this black era had died in a horrifying death. When we left Germany we never regrets that we are no more in that country. I was pleased that my family and i left the country and start in Unites States. My sister, Rachel is in San Diego California High school and Julianna is in grade school. And Im working at the grade school down town. My life change because some of the horrifying when i was in the army was so humiliating for me i was obeying the most evil man in the world way back in the world war two.He even concluded in the holocaust those who are homosexuals, Gypsies and even Communists that just want to express their rights. While in the coupled states the people gives ideas in their own ways. They can write their beliefs, shout out the road and protest all day want. In my times, they were killed by poison in the chamber or shot to death. But in the new country i was amaze d that how people are expressive in their own rights. Having the right choice and choose what ever you want to say. luck to speak wants in each in our minds and protecting the human life as well. I reminiscing what happen then until today, and before i was a nightmare to my family and the people that lived in Germany in the World War II. I was more aware to the people around me. I respect the people even though they are not like German races. It doesnt matter what religion or culture or decision we have but the important is respecting every person. In my family perspective like my father, he just wants to lived normal ordinary citizen and give my mothers attention. Because my mother cant speak no more. It so pity looking his wife like that while he is normal. My mothers eyes just have tears every time my father help him to eat. My mother was paralyzed due to the explosion when they hide in the cellar. She cannot speak nor move her feet. My sister and i knew that my fathers affection will help my mothers recovery and give a new start for my family and I. I was teaching children but i am a handicap using a wheel chair sometimes i just cant forgive Hitler and ask what he had done to me. I cannot walk like before all i want before is toteach children and have an ordinary life. A life that was taken for me to the dark age of world war II. As for now, i just go with my own life and pursuit my goal. Teaching Children and have my power point in Education in history. I want to explore life and tell stories about the Dark mature of Hitlers reign in Germany. I am setting my mind that even though Im a handicap and has a dark memories i can still change young adults mind to appreciate their lives and know their rights as a human being. Teaching them that sometimes life is unpredictable and intimate for the mistakes that we have than in the past. And Even like is so unfair we have to strive and fight for our lives. My family and I were helping each other by everyday sess ion what we feel and what happen this past few days. We were stick for giving affection to each other that telling each other that stand as a family a therapy for the souls to heal the wounded hearts. draw each other support in times of remembering the bad experiences that we had in the world war II. Protecting one another to carry on in the tragic moment of the family. Its sad to see my family curiously my mother cry every time she hear a gun shot in the Television. She was traumatize and we want her to realized that the war is over. We just hug her every time she feels she was in the stage of the Dark Age of Hitler. My little sister Julianna just hug mother ever time my mother cries. She will say Dont cry mommy we here and were still alive. We will not stop loving you. Then hug with tears my little sister. We know its hard to forget the horrific experience but were still trying to fight it how grievous it is. We maybe faces the stage of recovering but the help of the new fr iends in the united states i think we can face and can heal the pain. Time could only tell when will my family and I can ever recover because the experiences are to scary to imagine. One night i was pipe dream my troops who died in the war they were crying for help and begging to save them. It shifted when i saw my two best friends Randy and Ryan under the tree near in my old house in hamburg Germany they we lying in the grass the surrounding were all black but i can see the tree that we always hanging out when we were a kid. They were not moving they just lying in the tree with their eyes closed. The backcloth sound was the bombs, shot of a gun and the stomping of feet.I was just looking but not moving in my place. Then one Russian was holding a big sword he cut my one leg and hold my cut leg and just laughing loudly. I screamed with the pain i saw. Then Randy scream that he cannot move his body and he cannot breath. He was begging me to help him but i cant move my feet. I was in the ground posing in with my blood. I was crying for help. Ryan was asking for help. He said help usPls Help us. And i heard a plane coming to Ryans place and saw how the plane release a bomb through air and pointed in Ryan and Randys place and i shouted No. My sister Rachel woke me up and saying that Im just dreaming. I was crying in her shoulder that i told what i dreamed. She said that i cannot forgive myself in what happen to my friends and troops. I was devastated that night that whole night i talk to my sister Rachel about what i feel. I was crying so hard that asking why did my friends died? I cannot except how a tragic event will shop me every day in my life. I just when to church with my family praying for a piece of mind. We pray for the people that died in that dark age of Hitler. My little sister Julianna lit up a candle for the children that have died in the world war and the rest of the family pray for the peace of the soul who died while protecting their family. Aft er going to church, we went to the park for a picnic with the rest of the people who survived and left Germany. There was the a lot of family migrated after the down fall of Hitler. We were the survivors of the wars, In battlefield and in the holocaust. They were sharing their lives how they suffer and how they did survived in Hitlers era. We were eating while we were talking about the great stories. Their was a lady sharing her story and showing in her risk the number. The number of her risk show that she was a victim of the holocaust. How she was separated with his father and hiding in her mothers skirt. Children were taking away from their parents and killing them by poison gas. Because the friends of Hitler said that we kill the old adults but the younger ones must the first to be killed because they can be a hindrance someday in Hitlers plans. The Lady said she was escaped by the help of her mother she run for her life but never see her mother and her 3 siblings anymore. A stri king in my flesh how this lady lost her family and can talk about the death of her family. She maybe realized to be strong and be dependent to herself because she was left alone not like me, i lost my friends and troops but i have still have my family alive and even i dont have my other leg i still have my family to be there whenever i needed comfort. Those people that was victims of the Dark era was sharing their experiences while we were eating together in the park. My family was happy that they were alive and sharing the moments.I was thinking that my family has an extension a large family for those who were victims of the Hitlers era. A large community for people who were victims and sharing their live to each other to recovered each others heart. I talk to my father and have a great idea. I told my father what if we build an organization for us to help people that is victims of discrimination and inequality. Those who was survived in the war and for the present those who were discriminated by other people. At first my father hesitated because we dont have enough coin to organize a organization. I told my father that the people will help and the citizen in the community will help also if we have a proper exposure. And he agree to it and I open the meeting to the people who was in the picnic. Telling them we can stand for it and help one another. I saw how they shared with out a doubt to one another and by it an organization can be build by scratch for the victims of the Hitlers era. I saw my mother tears falls down with her cheeks that in my heart i knew that it is the start of a new start for the family and the victims. That my mother will regain her strength and faith to live in a new stage of her life. I told them that we can start a new life and by the stories we will tell them in schools how we lived in that era and to protect people in abuse and human rights. They were applauding me after i explained what i have planned for the future. After that day, people we going to my house and sharing their lives how they treated when they were in world war II. And my father and my mother was the one listening to each stories. My father gives them advices and moral support. My mother is the one who touches them to realized that they were sympathize in their behalf. My two sister were giving for them and sometimes listen also stories about the victims. We were sharing the lives in my school when i have a history classes that is related to the topic. Giving the children to see that they were fortunate to live with out dictatorship. Sharing the lives of the victims changes the lives of my student. They were sympathizing the victims and giving their reaction and i can see in my students eyes that they can see clearly how the world war effect many lives in Germany. Their tears was travel when they heard that even children are killed just because of their culture and their religion. After a month, a blessing came into the victims lives. Th ey were given a place for every memorabilia and pictures of their family to remind the people that in world war many lives was taken and shattered but some people that survived because a hero to give idea that a right to live and freedom to say what you want it to say. My family and I was over whelm to see my student give a supererogatory place to the victims and collect memorabilia to the victims and re-arranged it to the walls. Pictures of people who died in the war and most of them are also written names that every student put some personal prayer. When the grand opening of the New Hope Organization people in the neighborhood was attended the event. There was open eyes to them and give some donations for the victims of the war. Some give attention to talk to them every day to heal the survivor in this dark age. And some give their time attention and love to the victims of the war. I was over whelm what they did. My family was helping to the new organization and hopefully we can gathered all the victims of the war not in a certain neighborhood but each country that was victims of Hitlers era. That night we went to bed and i had dream again. Ryan and Randy was wearing white clothes and smiling at me under the tree that was my friends and I hang out when we were little. They were waving at me and telling me thank you for the help. I said to them dont thank me i am just an ordinary person that just want to ask forgiveness to them. Randy said dont ask forgiveness because you didnt kill us but life is unpredictable we have to face and be courageous that we are dead. We have to have to sacrifice something to achieved a certain goal. They were telling me that i help the souls of the forgotten to see the light and to remember them as innocent who died in Hitlers era. After that my two best friends wave and disappeared. I woke up and i saw the four corners of my room. I was happy that even randy and the victims of the war appreciate how the the living victims were make do in the new environment and appreciating that they were heroes in every stories. They maybe death but in the history of Hitlers in human stand a new way of thinking that, we can stand in our own. We have human rights and have the right to choose to be alive in this world. No one can ever take this and by together all the victims and those who are voluntary helping to heal the people can change a new world. Changing the way of those who are not open in the historical dark era. And make a stand to people that Life is a right to live. Adolf Hitler may killed many lives in Germany but again i stand for the victims who live and even they have dark experiences they will stand because of the people surrounds them. A lot was changed and my family gathers the pieces of a happy family i might dont have my other leg or my mother cannot talk for the rest of her life i know and she knows that a big changes when we left Germany and pick the pieces of each others life. The organization will always be in the side of the victims and the death of the innocents. I will be the one who will uplift this vision and became a reality. By the help of people who are willing and open minded in the event. My father supported me to my goals and my vision. I Finish my phase and teaches college students in San Diego California. My two sister is studying in where i teach in high school. My mother cant talk but as i can see she cope in her trauma and helping in the victims by listening in their stories. Secularisation

Rationalization shows that religions ar based on a leap of faith rather than proof or evidence, while Weber argued that pursual a growth in disenchantment in an increasingly thinking(prenominal) family, discrimination, the process by which sacred and supernatural forces are no extended overhearn as controlling the world and ghostly ideas, beliefs and institutions, would occur. It is also suggested by sociologists, inter alternateable Heals et al. In their Kendal study, that the holistic milieu and increased participation in Norms and New-Age spiritualty is evidence of a reconciliation of society. However, critics argue hat actual be are a small proportion of the population and that such groups muted only have a marginal position in society. Bryan Wilson argues that Norms are almost irrelevant to society, with Peter Berger describing them as islands in a blase sea. The Kendal study would seem to support this with only 2% of the population act in New-Age activities and only half of these individuals viewing their activities as spiritual. This supports Braces view that the revolt of New Age is not a threat to secularists.Where religious pluralism, is bear on there is no longer a single religious vowelise or message. Instead there is a fragmentation, which Steve Bruce describes as a declivity in strong religion with religiosity becoming now a issuing for personal choice from weak religions. Critics argue that this is not inescapably the case. An modeling would be Northern Ireland, where there is a marked division among Protestants and Roman Catholics, yet religious belief remains strong.Disengagement could be the focussing open religions have lost influence and withdrawn from wider society. This is reflected in the personal manner that established religions have lost political and social influence. Former Archbishop of Canterbury, George Carrey, exposit the Church of England in 1991 as like an elderly lady, muttering external to herself ign ored by most people. Here the head of the Church seems to stimulate that disengagement has taken place compared with the historical past when the Church was at the heart of politics, the civil service, education, the arts etc.Although there has been a spectacular 50% fall in interpretance in traditional Christian religions amongst 1979 and 2005, declining participation statistics, while apparently supporting secularists, do not necessarily prove it because they take no account Of peoples beliefs. It would seem that religion has shifted from the earthly concern to the private realm, summed up in Grace Davies phrase believing not belonging. Other factors to bear in mind are the growth in ethnic religions, Norms and engagement with New-Age spirituality. An some other thing to consider with statistics is that those from the past cannot eternally be considered reliable. In addition, membership criteria can change over time, just as the motives and meanings behind participation can ch ange. Finally, religious participation does not in itself guarantee religiousness. In the past in the UK, ND currently in small-town USA, attendance may be more to do with respectability. Many parents attend church in the UK today simply in order to saddle their children to faith schools. Postmodernists have an ambivalent view of religion. On the one hand, they see the major established religions as in decline along with their meta-narratives.On the other hand, they see a role for individuals look toing individual spirituality to stop meaning in an increasingly shallow society that lacks any depth. increase Banyan argues that the days of universal truths disappeared with the progression from a modern society to a postmodern society. He sees society as increasingly individual and fragmented in which people are searching for some nervous strain of spirituality. However, in this climate of pick and mix, people can and do change their mind and beliefs, creating religious pluralism .Therefore the growth of the holistic milieu and New-Age spirituality reflects the individualism associated with postmodernism. heap operating as spiritual shoppers search for individual meaning and seek new and different forms of spirituality, rather than engage in established religions. The international picture of religion is one of contrast between the decline of established religion in most f the developed world and the go along strength of religion generally across the rest of the world. Even in the Western world, there is not a consistent picture of religious decline.

Ascii Code

Samuel Mercuri MGF 1107 Pickle Project 7 Computers do not take in letters, text, or words. They only deal with add up. To get studyy reckoners to work with text, we have to hold each character as a number. The text files you get word and put out are actually stored, loaded into memory, and transposed into numbers. When the file is shown on your screen, the numbers are transposed again into letters and text. The first 31 ASCII autographs guarantee commands, or non printable characters that control how the selective information leave behind be interpreted. ASCII is a computer enroll originally based on the letters of the position alphabet. It is an acronym for American Standard Code for Information Interchange and is partd to cook up text in computers, communications equipment, and texting devices. Each letter and number is assumption an ASCII work out. Certain commands are also given an ASCII economy. For mannequin, the ASCII figure for A is 65, and the ASCII code fo r 4 is 52. Work on the ASCII code started in 1960, and in 1968 professorship Lyndon B Johnson mandated that all computers purchased by the United States government support ASCII code. Computers use ASCII code to communicate with each other. http//www. ascii-code. com/The following table shows the ASCII code for letters, numbers, and commands. The ASCII code for the word Bears would be 66 one hundred one 97 114 115. Note that the ASCII code is different for uppercase and lowercase letters. B 66 e ci a 97 r 114 s 115 By the alike token- the code 68 105 115 110 99 121 would read Disney once transposed. 68 D 105 i 115 s 110 n 99 e 121 y You could see these as an example of how we use our computers to communicate. We type letters and words, the computer transposes them into a code that it can understand and sends it to your friends computer.Your friends computer understands the code and transposes it back into text so your friend can read what you wrote. pic http//www. tntbasic. com/ learn/help/guides/asciicodesexplained. htm Why is ASCII code important? Because ASCII files can be employ as a common denominator for data conversions. Lets say Program A cant convert its data to the format of program B. Most email transmissions are limited to ASCII characters.Because of this, it is not possible to use special arrange such as Italics or underlines. Christian moralists Essay

fit to Freud, they are fulfillments of the oldest, strongest, and nigh imperative wishes of man openhearted the secret of their military force lies in the strength of their wishes (Pals 72). For him, the only course to test something is by the scientific method (Pals 72). The recallrs of holiness draw their piety from feelings and emotions (Pals 72). He mentioned that it was a given that godliness whitethorn swallow helped fortify civilizations however, since civilizations were already built, superstition and repression should non continue to be the foundation (Pals 72).According to Freud piety would thus be the universal obsessional neurosis of unselfishness (Pals 73). In his perception, mature population are those guided by crusade and science and not by true superstition and reliance (Pals 73). divinity, for this thinker, was not a being that was real (Pals 73). In fact, he apothegm matinee idol as an prank that was nearly projected by the self because they had a deep longing to over tote up guilt and to lessen their fears (Pals 73). Religion may be something that is rooted from the ego to be able to make sensory faculty of the struggles that are present in the piece. But it is more than sightly a bunch of feelings and emotions because those fade. Religion has been just slightly for centuries and that skunknot be because most of the mickle around the world meet felt like believing in theology for all these years. Hope has in fact been seen to be built on cryptograph but illusion in reality, it hold ups because of credence (Palmer 279). Faith advisenot exist with let kayoed piety. However, Christian moralists would free stay true to the fact that with hope in their lives, it would be evidential and exact moral worth (Palmer 279).Critics of devotion would secernate that morality would depend on the need of a psychologically hardheaded foundation that calls for human purposes (Palmer 279). Going back to the apparent movement posed earlier, if it was about feelings and emotions, hence godliness should have been replaced by money or by opposite things. Even though in this secular world, most of religions areas are penetrated by such things, it still prevails for a lawsuit because people have faith. Majority of the people in the world believe in graven image, does this mean only a part of the human existence are mature people? If the strength of religion lies in the strength of its wishers, how come faithless people have come to know God because of the things that happen in their own lives that they would consider nothing short of a miracle (Pals 72). If everything can be tried by the scientific method, it should have tested why people fall in love or why people can risk their lives to rescue someone else. How come students from the direst of neighborhoods can graduate from high school despite everything that could hinder him or her? Was it determination and hope? Where did those qualities come from?Is it the illusion of the people that God had always been able to leave for them even if they felt that all is lost and has ended? Is it an illusion that the sun rises in the morning and that planets are held in their axis and get around around there orbit? If religion is just something for a individual to overcome guilt, how come people have to place such emotions of God while there are a whole lot of other things that are more tangible that people can turn to? wherefore not you rely on something can see if that means having to have a better concept of that illusion. Religion from SocietyFollowing Emile Durkheims point of flock relating religion with sociology, morality was perceived to be the covenant of each other to others wherein it cannot be separated from religion (Pals 95). Religion and ethics mesh together in a social framework (Pals 95). nether his views, the success of the religious leader does not lie in the effect of converts he had brought in the co ngregation but the event that has reinstated a instinct of community amongst the people (Pals 95). Durkheim believed that Religion is a unified system of beliefs and practices sex act to consecrate things, that is to say, set apart and forbidden (Pals 99).When he talked about inviolate things he referred to unite in one moral community called per draw and those who adhere them (Pals 99). Sacred things referred to the issues of the community while those that are not sacred referred to the private things and the everyday things a individual encounters (Pals 99). Under Durkheims view of religion, it was more like a society. The idea of society is the soul of religion because the concept of religion needed the society in crop to exist. It was ground on creating a sense of belongingness.Society was formed by the bodied commitment of the individuals because without such commitment the society would fail to exist. In the selfsame(prenominal) way, religion exists merely because a lot of people are attached to the fact that it does exist. Like Freud, he referred to Totemism as an example of how society gave have to religion. Freud byword how religion is exactly just like society, in comparison, the rituals and the rites and the church leaders can be seen as a mere petty or surface part of religion because it is just a embody of collective beliefs and practices that are endowed by such some kind of authority. This thinker also believed that there was nothing neither divine nor transmundane because he maxim that it was just society that produced this concept in order to view as people in line and to give emphasis on certain things that the society should value as a whole. Society had survived from civilizations that have started in the gone. The question whether how religion was formed was important to answer because defines the promote need for it. Is it a mere creation of man that humanity exists? If not, then why did it exist because of the persever ance of the human spirit?Where did this perseverance come from, more than that, where did the spirit come from? These are things the society cannot really provide for them if the premise is society gave birth to religion. Alienation Karl Marx, of all the thinkers in the prehistoric may have presented one of the most scornful and sarcastic condescension at religion (Pals 139). Most of the discussion about religion from this philosopher referred to religion as alienation. He never really just concentrated on discussing religion alone but his full treatment have shown how he had handsome much a heavy opinion about it and that influenced the structure of Communism. It was ostensible and simple for Marx, religion is pure illusion (Pals 138). Similar to how Freud dictum religion, Marx saw it more than an illusion but something that was dangerous and something that should be eradicated from society (Pals 138). He considered religion as the worst kind of ideology because of how it expr essed a perceived bunch of excuses dressed as reasons in order to affirm society in the manner that their oppression would like them to stay as (Pals 138). Religion is then related to a in additionl of oppression sooner of being a liberating factor that most Christian ideals adhere to.Since he was consumed with how he taught a capitalist society brought about oppression he saw religion as merely another factor to keep people in line and to prevent them from having to go against the leaders of society. Since most of his arguments fall upon his hatred for the Capitalist society, he attacked religion saying it was amply determined by economics that made all the doctrines that was attributed to it to have no merits of their own (Pals 138). Since he had no respect for that kind of system, he did not see much of the structure and nature of religion as surface (Pals 138).Marx found a profound parallelism between religion and socioeconomics wherein he saw how both areas of society alie nated people from important move of who they were (Pals 140). While religion took moral values socioeconomics took productive jab (Pals 140-141). Religion took a way a part of the people, the morality part as humans and attributed it to a wholly imaginary being (Pals 141). Marx saw how it took forward the credit from the people and awarded everything to God (Pals 141). On the other hand, socioeconomics took away the fruits of the labor of the people and awarded it to whoever had the money to pay, mostly to the rich (Pals 141).Marx saw how these two concepts were too much alike because of how they were related to each other. Like Durkheim, he saw that the capitalist society created religion as economics was the base for everything. He then moved for the abolition of religion under the Communist ideology as this was considered an illusory happiness (Pals 141). According to him, the abolition of religion was in truth required for real happiness to occur (Pals 141). He saw that relig ion did not help the people, most especially the poor. For him, religion only created fantasies for the people that enabled them to ease the pain they felt from the oppression of society (Pals 141). He saw religion as the opium of the poor (Pals 140). He illustrated religion as nothing more than being addiction to any form of drug (Pals 142). It may be a form of escape that would make a person worry-free for a while but it does not serve anything (Pals 142). He saw religion as pure escapism (Pals 142). Religion, for Marx, only shifted the gaze of the people and their reliance on God instead of having to rely upon themselves for their own welfare (Pals 142).However, he also said that it blinded the people from the real disadvantage of the material, physical situation they had in society because they were much to focus on fixing their second life or their eternal life in heaven to be worried about their current stature on earth (Pals 142). The fact that religion was seen to oppress c an be reflected in erroneous leadership on the part of the Church in the past but it cannot generalize the whole body of believers. If a person works for this current life with disregard for the consequences of the next life, what is he to gain? Is he to be satisfied? No person had ever found the controlling satisfaction, no division how hard they work or how wealthy they are, this cannot be attained in the present life. Whoever says he or she can moldiness be fooling him or herself. Reliance on a supreme being is placed in the fiber of human nature for a reason, because they need God. It is not to oppress them to being helpless beings. It actually em roles them to be the best that they can become with the help from their creator. Conclusion No matter what such thinkers present regarding the false hopes and the perception of believers regarding religion, there are still so much areas that remain undisputed. There are still areas in the field of religion that remain to be untouched and simply ignored. The areas that cannot be explained cannot be test by scientific explanation. There are areas that can be denied that they exist even if they dispute that religion does not. If religion was birthed out of society, and there are a lot of atheists that can almost form a community out of themselves, how come they do not just create their own society that could affect the society of believers in the world? The argument about faith and the existence of God had been a long withstanding debate for centuries now and still, the world still contain a largish body of believers that are willing to put faith first beforehand reason. Does this make these people unintelligent beings? There had been thinkers as well who had defended the faith that had chosen to believe because they saw how reason cannot overcome everything, only faith can do that. The existence of religion cannot only be out of the desires of the leaders to keep society in line. It takes more than human power to be able to sustain this for centuries. If it was placed in the hands of mere humans, then there must have been a time wherein atheists have struggled for power and took the reigns of society to reverse the mindset. The protection around the concept of religion speaks tons for itself. It takes divine power to be able to stay significant for centuries for different peoples all over the world.Works Cited Pals, Daniel L. Seven Theories of Religion. The abstract sums up your papers purpose and content in 120 words or less. It includes distinguished information such as the thesis and main ideas. Abbreviations and unique equipment casualty should in akin manner be defined. It should be in your own words and as brief as possible. Representing envisages and Hopes Cinderella and the Disney Fantasy Animation is a masteryion of images, expectants, and emotions in which Walt Disney has presented his miracle ideas by a number of animated cartoons and artworks for over 75 eld.Apart from be products of science and technology, Disneys animated features also have an entertainment value, which fore fit elements of hope, joy, and sorrow. In the video,Once Upon a Dream the make of Sleeping Beauty, Walt Disney says It is always a ch whollyenge for bringing a great myth virtuous to the blanket and giving visual form to the characters and the places that only existed in the imagination. But it is the physical body of challenge tha t we enjoy. Disneys programs take their audiences out(p) of the world of reality to touch a peek into the most fantastic world of fantasy, touching and boost audiences at the same conviction. In animated film history, the most popular face being Cinderella piddled in 1950. Since the early 19th century, its songs and narrative argon a legend of the history of animation.. Cinderella (1950) is an incredible, classical masterpiece of animation history, a aid to the Disney tradition of the animation production. It has successfully influenced cartoon culture and audiences over the years. Cinderella (1950) is an incredible, amazing, storied and classical American animated feature produced by Walt Disney and his studio. Since Mickey, Donald Duck, and Snow washcloth Disney studios have dominated the American animation industry.Post World War II, this studio was in great financial difficulty. John Culhance, an author and film historian, mentions debts of USD $4 million after the WWI I period. Ohmer, in That Rags to Riches Stuff Disneys Cinderella and the cultural Space of Animation, presents that during the story conferences of Cinderella in May 1947, Walter Lantz, president of the Cartoon Producers Association, inform that animated film production would be cut more than 45% during the following year. Disney faced a number of obstacles, both external and home(a) and ranging from economic to sociological.Under these circumstances, producing a unmown feature seemed difficult given the time required to produce an animation film, which is usually about three to quaternity years. Although it took risks of producing Cinderella, Walt Disney was persistent in fighting for his dream. It motivated him to make a full-length and full-colored animation movie despite his studio being in financial difficulty. In Cinderella, with a running time of 72 minutes, Disney used USD $2. 9 million for creating an attractive and dramatic content. Cinderella is based on the fairy f ib Cendrillon by Charles Perrault.Right from her sparkling ball gown and glass slippers to the Fairy Godmother, the mice, and Cinderella herself are etched in pots minds. Apart from Perraults version, Disney added nearly extra details to the screen version. For example, when the two ugly sisters damage Cinderellas ball gown, she looks kinder and lovelier. It successfully brings out the individual trait of each character. This 1950 classic fairytale helped Disney and his team save the entire cartoon business and helped create a legend. The film was a huge success at the rap office, which allowed Disney to carry on the animation empire.Cinderella has re-released at least six clock in different generations. From the format of VHS video to the latest platinum videodisk edition, it helps Walt Disney earn huge success and also make millions and millions of profits. Although there were limitations fleck producing Cinderella (1950), Disney used two critical strategies to save m matchl essy and control the cost of production. These strategies defined the work process for creating animation feature films. To begin with, they employ outside consultants to conduct the market research. The research of product manufacturing was established with advertising and production conference.Disney also used a previews section to substantiate audiences re follow outs. This helped to focus on audiences likes and dislikes. They wanted to make sure that everyone would love to see Cinderella. Joel Siegel, a film critic, also praised Cinderella stating that the story presented the faith of American Dreams and Hollywood Dreams. To illustrate, Cinderella imagines herself as the young woman, who is chosen by the Prince and dresses up beautifully. People were attracted to this story, primarily because it modify peoples dreams onto the screen.Disney and his team transformed the dream into motion construe on the screen. This is also the major reason why this story is free fresh in the audiences minds and still very popular amongst generations for 60 years now. The second strategy that Walt and his animators used was a pass away action sit down for lengthiness to shorten the development processes of Cinderella. Helene Stanley was the action model used, while Ilene wood was the give tongue to artiste. Both contributed greatly in creating this motion feature film. The bear action models helped Disney transform the magical moments of the scene into meticulous details. The animators paid elaborate attention to human movements so that they could make the characters alive on screen. sooner the final artworks were made, live action footage was used to create the plots, time the sequences of action, overfly both facial and physical movements of the characters, and test their cohesiveness. Actors and actress wore full consumes with makeup, in which they acted out of the screen on stage with background setting. Cinderella provided a link amid Disneys present a nd its past, and shaped the legacy of animation production. After using live actors for motion reference to produce Snow White and the Seven shade (1937) and the hugely successful Cinderella (1950) Disney truly thought that using live action model reference could allow the animators ability to improve the picture to be more practical. They could take photos barf by frame such that rough key poses could be pulled out directly as a pedestal for drawing the flipbooks. Shooting the film in live action also minimized the changes in the drawings and helped speed up production. The production of Cinderella thus turn out how important and valuable it was to use live action models for reference.Since then, 90% of the kick the bucket drawn animations were created based on live action models. This production strategy is still being used for more recent animation films, such as The Little Mermaid (1989) and Hercules (1997). The Little Mermaid (Platinum Edition) The Making Live Action cha racter (Clip), shows that Broadway actress Jodi Benson was chosen to play the voice of Ariel while Sheri Lynn Stoner, a former ingredient of Los Angeles Groundings improvisation comedy group, was chosen to be the live action reference model of Ariel.Glen Keane, the co-supervising animator of Ariel, indicated that he understood the importance of studying frame by frame of footage in drawings. Since the animators wanted to balance the coherence of the sound and motion, live action models did help create detailed and realistic drawings. The Making of Hercules, 1997 video showcases Disneys tralatitious production strategy, even though modern-day animation uses a combination of technology and art works. The production of Hercules (1997) combines traditional animation techniques with the latest computer-generated imagery CGI to add graphics and 3D make into the film.Roger Gould, the CGI supervisor, mentioned that the computer could only help in creating more than what they could do be fore. However, all the preparation and production processes still remain very traditional. Once the story structure is completed and presented using a storyboard, voice artistes record voices of the characters by adding other details to the animation. Nik Ranieri indicated that he wanted the voices and the animations to be combined nicely therefore, the voice artistes performances were very important to create detail body movements and facial expressions of the character.Andreas Deja, the supervising animator of Hercules, combined Tate Donovans energy and naive whole tone into the characteristics of Hercules. Besides, different voice actors also acted out with body movements and facial expressions. For example, Danny DeVito (the voice artiste of the Philoctetes), changes his facial expressions while talking in different tones. The animator videotaped Vitos recording process and used these expressions while animating Philoctetes. James woodwind (the voice artiste of Hades), used hi s body movement and sneer as the founding for Hades gestures. These elements are very powerful and increase the ability of storytelling. By comparing the production processes of Cinderella (1950), The Little Mermaid (1989), and Hercules (1997) Disney and his team strived to animate magical moments into realistic motion pictures. They created many unforgettable scenes, such as Cinderella imagining herself as the girl chosen by the Prince and dressing up beautifully the Little Mermaid become human to look for her true love and dreams and Hercules sacrificing himself to save his lover and lastly becoming a real hero. There is no doubt the huge success of Cinderella (1950) created a defined the production legacy by building up a traditional system for creating animation feature films. Disney and his studio not only aim on creating entertainment, but also present the substantive thesis of Dreams can come true if you have the courage to pursual them. By comparing the latest princess st ory of Cinderella (1950) and The Princess and The Frog (2009), we can for certain pinpoint that Cinderella influences the cartoon culture of Disney stories.Typically, Disney stories present royal romance including love, faith, and dreams. Moreover, they play up the importance of the Fairy Godmother, the narrative power of the songs, and animal helpers. Cinderella (1950) is really a successful story, which can attract everyone in different generation, because all people have the imagination and dreams. Most girls can identify with the Cinderella story and would like to be pretty like her and be chosen by their Prince who exit help them put on the glass slippers. Many boys also want to acquire their true love just like the Prince found Cinderella. The lyrics of A Dream is A Wish Your Heart Makes, encourages people in different generations. No matter how you heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish depart come true. Cinderella is transformation by Fairy Godmother with the beautiful ball gown, is one of the scenes liked by Disney the most. Thus, Cinderella not only explores the audiences imagination, but also makes everyones dreams come live on the screen.

Case Study 1: What’s the Buzz on Smart Grids?

CASE STUDY 1 Whats the Buzz on offend Grids? 1. How do unused footb every fields differ from the current electric automobileity infrastructure in the United States? Current electricity grids do not provide whatsoever information about how consumers actually use elan vital. That give aways it difficult to develop much efficient approaches to dispersal. The current system offers few ways to handle provide provided by alternative skill sources. Without useful information, energy companies and consumers have hassle making good decisions about using energy wisely. A judicious grid delivers electricity from suppliers to consumers using digital engine room to save energy reduce be increase reliability and transp atomic number 18ncy The smart grid enables information to flow back and forth between electric originator providers and consumers and stomachs both consumers and energy companies to make more intelligent decisions regarding energy habit and production. provides information that would help utilities raise prices when submit is extravagantly and deject them when demand lessens. helps consumers program high-use electrical appliances like heating and air conditioning outlay times customs systems to reduce during of peak usage. could possibly lead to a five to fifteen percent decrease in energy consumption. 2. What management, organization, and technology issues should be considered when developing a smart grid? Management education feedback would allow consumers to see how much energy they are consuming at any moment and how much its costing them. That would allow them to make better decisions about using appliances like air conditi one(a)rs and furnaces. They could potentially lower their energy bills. However, governments and energy companies need to help consumers overcome the intrusive feelings associated with the technology.Dashboard observe software must be easy for consumers to understand and use. Organizations There are many d isincentives for energy companies associated with smart grids. Operating budgets and profits would be heavily impacted if consumers greatly reduced their energy consumption. Implementation costs would be extremely high, even with federal government assistance. Consumer backlash is already obvious in the few experimental cases to date. Without properly structuring the implementation, that backlash could grow against the energy companies.Technology Networks and switches for power management, sensor and monitoring devices to track energy usage and distribution trends systems to provide energy suppliers and consumers with usage data, communications systems to relay data along the unblemished energy supply system, and systems linked to programmable appliances to run them when energy is least(prenominal) costly, are all expensive and time consuming to retrofit into all the homes across the nation. Basically, the entire energy infrastructure would require retrofitting. 3.What challenge to the reading of smart grids do you think is most likely to hamper their learning? Some challenges to the development of smart grids include Changing the infrastructure of the entire electric grid across the nation Installing two-way meters that allow information to flow both to and from homes and businesses Creating dashboards that are user-friendly Extremely high costs of retrofitting the entire grid infrastructure, estimated to be as high as $75 billion Potential intrusiveness of new technology perceive and real loss of privacy Potential economic impact on energy companies 4. What other areas of our infrastructure could benefit from smart technologies? Describe one example not listed in the case. One example that could benefit from smart similar to the electric grids is monitoring water usage in homes and businesses. bracing technologies could allow water utilities and consumers to Monitor water flows much like electric usage Turn off lawn sprinklers during the heat of the day or base on predetermined schedules Use monitors in lawns and around plants and shrubs to prevent over- or under-watering Monitor evaporation rates Monitor fountains, and other water for usage pools, features of usage 5. Would you like your home and your community to be part of a smart grid? Why or why not? Explain. Yes, I would like my home to incorporate the new smart grid technology because it offers to save energy, reduce cost, and increase reliability. Understandably, there may be costs associated with this production such as maintenance, installation, etc. However, I would be volition to pay a little extra up front if I would be saving a lot more throughout its usage. not to mention helping the environment would not be a gravid incentive.
