Lab 6: Collisions



Objectives of the Experiment :
Investigation of striking with varied masses .

Materials Used :
* Track
* 2 deposit detectors : these ar used to sense the force and the are specialized for the quantity of interrogation parameters.
* 2 carts
* Data studio which is used to canvass the change in momentum of the cart with the integral of the careful force vs. time graph

Theory :
When an butt strikes a barrier, the force on the object varies as the collision
occurs. Changes in the momentum of the object (the impulse) can be calculated in
twain ways:
Using the velocities before (vi) and after (vf) the collision:

involved in an abrupt hard collision or a cushioned collision. We want to determine
