Marko October 19th , 2010 Introduction to Labor and Employment Studies Understanding ever-changing Views about Labor Unions and Collective Action Given the assignment to economize about the role of unions and collective action in the U.S we were told to archetypal audience a suspensor or family graphic symbol over the age of 40, and then a friend or family member under the age of 40. The first person I persistent to interview for this project is a close friend of mine, who is 29 years old and works construction in innovative York City. I started off the interview by asking if he was in a union and his answer was yes, he is part of Local 79 Construction & Gen Building Laborers. Continuing with the interview I asked him what he felt the unions do well or dont do well and also how they stimulate changed over the past few years. He responded that, in his aspect the unions best represent the workers of that organization and provide them with fair and meet opportunities and that the union makes sure they get what is deserved.
