Corporate Social Responsibility for me is a concept which is a collection of broad possibilities. To make it more clear, let me restate; CSR is not an outcome of capitalism but a demand to keep it alive. Today, we have CSR initiatives running wholly over the public where companies try to help out the society in their bear way. These companies argon the bigger ones which can afford to do so like Microsoft, GE, Infosys, ABG etc. Now, what is interesting to note is that all these companies do it for a reason. If I am to be positive, I would understand that they c are about the society they work in and they requirement to encourage growth at bottom levels as well. However, on that brain is a very fundamental law in economics which says that every commercial venture has its first aim as make headway. So, keeping this in mind and with a spoonful of cynicism, I can say that corporate and MNCs may be in the mode of CSR to get a good public show; an image of company that cares which shall effectively translate into consumer grace of God and we all know that today we in a consumer driven international economy so ipso facto, we have an indirect link of profit in material terms to CSR in human goodwill terms. This certainly does change the noble image of CSR does it not!
