On June eleventh the following day another incident of a syringe in a can of Diet Pepsi was reported in Washington State. This was the beginning of the media frenzy, the Settle Times and other local media jumped on the bandwagon and aired the story.



The media when airing the story did mention that in neither case had there been reports of injury resulting from the incidents.
